On September 28, EBA Moldova participated at the PMEC (Prime Minister Economic Council) by chairing the meeting of Trade Facilitation Working Group dedicated to Custom evaluation issues.
The goal of the meeting was to present proposals for improving the Government Decree (GD) No. 974 developed and processed by Customs Service Department as a result of the World Bank Consultancy support and inputs received from Business Community.
In this regard, EBA represented by Mariana Rufa, provided a quick feedback on the draft proposals, mentioning that the current changes in the GD will not improve the customs evaluation process essentially and suggested a deeper review of the proposals to Government Decree No. 974 by business community.
