In the context of solving the deficiency regarding the illegal taxes charged by National Agency for Food Safety for the food safety control at the border, at the joint request of EBA Moldova and the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova a series of technical meetings were organized with the participation of the representatives of the National Agency for Food Safety, Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Economic Council to the Prime Minister and Center for Implementation of Reforms.
As a result, the central public authorities have taken the decision to suspend starting with January 16, 2019, the charge of taxes for food safety controls, as it is set out in point 26 of Annex 3 to Government Decision no. 938/2018.
