On 23rd of May, EBA Moldova in partnership with General Police Inspectorate, Center for Combating Cyber Crime, Privacy Research Association, Daac System Integrator and Moldcell organized a Practical workshop on “Opportunities to enhance Cyber Systems in the private sector”.
The practical workshop was opened by Mr. Alexandru Pinzari, Head of General Police Inspectorate and Mrs. Mariana Rufa, EBA Executive Director.
Over the last years IT security and data protection have constantly become more and more important in the company’s operational activity, thus absorbing an increasing volume of human and financial resources. However, security is actually a deciding factor that dictates the future success of every company. Over the last years, the companies have been facing with cyber security risks that are emerging from in the day to day life.
In this sense, the main subjects discussed at the workshop were related to: Ransomware, reporting mechanism, electronic communication as a criminal instrument, challenges in the field of data protection, social engineering, modern model of the information security system for organizations and current methods/tools to prevent data leakage.
Among the speakers of the workshop were representatives from institutions like: General Police Inspectorate, Center for Combating Cyber Crime, Privacy Research Association and representatives from EBA member companies: Daac System Integrator and Moldcell.
