EBA is partner to a round of seminars organised by Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment on 22-23 August 2017, focused on raising awareness among business community and relevant public authorities about the upcoming responsibilities related to the implementation of waste management systems for packaging and WEEE (electrical and electronic equipment wastes).
On this occasion Ecaterina Chirilenco, EBA Lobby and Policy Manager, delivered a presentation about the EU member states experience in implementing the EPR principle (Extended Producer Responsibility), and facilitated a workshop dedicated to producers of packaging with a focus on identifying the best model of association of packaging producers in order to set up a waste collection system.
