On 16th September, EBA Lobby and Policy Officer, Ecaterina Chirilenco, together with EBA members participated in a new session of the Protection of Personal Data working group in the Economic Council of the Prime Minister.
The discussion was centered on mandatory requirements applied to operators processing personal data. EBA and its members commented on the impact that existing rules have on companies, followed by recommendations and proposals for some legal framework amendments.
EBA will continue to be active in this working group, in order to obtain a balanced impact of the rules ensuring protection of personal data.
