On July 18th EBA members related to food industry had a dinner with the representatives of the DG SANTE Mr. VAN DYCK Koen, Head of Unit and Mr. Jan BLOEMENDAL, Policy Officer.
The discussion was aimed to discuss issues related to the food safety /foreign trade in the context of the DCFTA implementation. The issues discussed over the meeting tackled the insufficient quality infrastrucure that should enable exports of animal origins products onto the EU market.
It was also mentioned about the need of enhancing capacity of ANSA in the areas such as products of animal origins, disease surveillance, traceability etc.
