Excluding the cap on individual national insurance contributions

On May 29, upon request from EBA, ATIC and AmCham, the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection organised a meeting on excluding the cap on individual national insurance contributions.

In January, EBA, AmCham and ATIC submitted a common letter to the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection, underlining the negative impact of excluding the five salaries cap for individual national insurance contributions, both for businesses and State-run social security. Because of some dificulties and uncertainites for the private sector, caused by the amendments to this Law, a meeting with the private sector took place in order to share the concerns. As a result, the Ministry will submit an offical letter on its position.
