In the context of the first meeting with Mr. Ruslan Codreanu, interim mayor of Chisinau and EBA Members on 26th of February, EBA Moldova discussed a series of issues and agreed to address them in more details in a series of follow up meetings.
Thus, on March 26 a second meeting, dedicated to functionality of waste management systems, took place with mayor, Mr. Ruslan Codreanu and related staff of the City Hall office.
EBA members presented their challenges and proposed a framework of cooperation. It was also agreed to enhance the dialogue between Central and Local Public authorities on Wastes Management issue and implementation of EPR through a clear segregation of roles and responsibilities in the frame of the National Wastes Management Strategy to be designed by the Government of Moldova and relevant authorities.
