Over the three days the EBO WWN representatives had the occasion to meet with a number of DG officials representing DG Grow, DG Trade, DG Devco, EuroChambre, Business Europe and others.

The goal of the meetings was to provide an update of the upcoming activities planned by the EU Commission in the context of SMEs support and identify potential for the EBO WWN involvement to value and enhance this support for their members.

Mr Didier Herbert, Acting Director DG GROW has reiterated in his message the important role the EBO WWN is playing to enhance the business support services and lobby activities in the EBO WWN members countries. He has listed the existing initiatives and activities supported by the DG Grow for the SMEs where the input of the Network is significant. Among these would be MILANO EXPO 2015, Business Internationalisation and EU Economic Diplomacy, EU Business Avenues initiatives, participation in regional initiatives like South Eastern Partnership, CELAC, Missions for Growth in the countries where they took or will take place, etc.

One of the output of the EBO WWN is the Energy Efficiency Position Paper identifying the key issues the EBO WWN Member countries are facing in implementation. EBA Moldova will provide its input to the paper which will be at a later stage submitted to the relevant EU Authorities.
