EBA met the Prime-minister of RM on presenting its proposals on reducing the Covid impact and bolster economic growth

On 30th of April, EBA met the Prime-minister of RM on presenting its proposals on reducing the Covid impact and bolster economic growth.

Mr. Ion Chicu, the Prime-minister of the RM highly appreciated EBA involvement in policy dialogue aimed at addressing promptly business related issues under Covid circumstances as well as immediate mobilization of the EBA members to financially support the medical sector to fight the pandemic.

The EBA President, Chairman of the Management Committee of Mobiasbanca – OTP Group, Mr. László_Diósi reiterated EBA support in the Government effort to overcome the existing challenges.

Mrs. Mariana Rufa EBA CEO referred to the priority actions focused on business reanimation following the Covid 19 impact. Concrete proposals were presented on amending the Labour Code, Developing a National Business Support Program and address pending justice sector related issues. Still the practical implementation of AA/DCFTA was emphasized as a solution and catalyzer for generating added value in the economy, promote exports and ensure economic growth.
