Polish state-owned company Krajowa Spolka Cukrowa S.A., the biggest sugar producers in Poland and one of the ten leading sugar producers in Europe, entered Moldovan market through the acquisition of the Cupcini sugar factory in 2011. Since its establishment, ICS Moldova Sahar SRL has been implementing an action plan aimed at creating a modern sugar company. Already at the present stage of development, the company has achieved the follosiwing successes:
- created a stable raw material base
- created a competent team of specialists and workers with experience in the sugar industry;
- implemented major investment projects aimed at modernizing the plant, which made possible to produce sugar that meet the standard of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the CIS and the European Union countries
- created a database of clients, consisting in industrial and commercial consumers
