14 companies from the horticultural sector participated in a study visit to Austria.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about best practices and technologies in the field of sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture, such as:
- Implementation of modern irrigation systems;
- Advanced soil cultivation techniques;
- Climate risk management strategies adapted to global climate change;
- Technologies for protection against extreme weather events such as frost and hail.
The visit was organised by the European Business Association Moldova, in collaboration with the Moldova Fruct Association, as part of the PROGRESS project (GIZ Moldova), funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (Bundesumweltministerium).
