The National Council for Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality (CNAEEG) held a meeting on March 3, 2026, to discuss solutions for increasing women’s participation in the labor market and strengthening women’s entrepreneurship. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Carolina Bugaian, Chair of the EBA Council and CEO of Moldcell.
During the discussions, the importance of expanding childcare services was emphasized, including through the development of alternative models and public-private partnerships, as well as offering incentives to businesses that create parent-friendly spaces. At the same time, the need to develop after-school services and family support programs was mentioned, particularly in the context of the reduced school schedule for elementary grades or during school breaks.
EBA expresses its willingness to continue contributing to institutional dialogue and to identifying practical solutions aimed at creating favorable conditions for women’s participation in the labor market and the development of women’s entrepreneurship, in line with the Republic of Moldova’s development objectives and European standards.
EBA was represented by Sandra Dolghii, Policy & Advocacy Manager.
