The National Council for Economic Empowerment and Gender Equality (CNAEEG) organized a meeting on March 3, 2026, during which solutions were discussed to increase women's participation in the labor market and strengthen female entrepreneurship. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Carolina Bugaian, President of the EBA Board and CEO of Moldcell.
During the discussions, the importance of expanding childcare services was emphasized, including through the development of alternative models and public-private partnerships, as well as providing incentives for economic agents that create parent-friendly spaces. At the same time, the need to develop after-school services and support programs for families was mentioned, especially in the context of the reduced school schedule for primary grades or during the holidays.
EBA expresses its openness to further contribute to the institutional dialogue and to the identification of practical solutions, aimed at creating favorable conditions for women's participation in the labor market and the development of female entrepreneurship, in line with the development objectives of the Republic of Moldova and European standards.
