EBA General Assembly and Business Networking Event 2026 at Natura Parc, Condrița.
The event was opened by Ms. Carolina Bugaian, President of EBA Moldova. In her speech, Ms. Bugaian highlighted the significant contribution of the association during the years 2025–2026, during which approximately 90 events dedicated to the business community were organized.
These initiatives provided practical support in the application and implementation of the legislative framework harmonized with European norms. The considerable contribution of EBA to improving the national legal framework and its alignment with European Union standards was also highlighted. Ms. Bugaian appreciated the active involvement of the EBA Board of Directors, the executive team, the chairmen of the sectoral committees and the entire EBA community in this historic journey of the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, the EBA President reiterated the importance of promoting social entrepreneurship, both by developing the regulatory framework and by creating financial instruments to support the development of social enterprises. In this context, the Social Enterprise Fair was organized within the event, supported by the EBA in collaboration with the East European Foundation, within the framework of the “Impact Space” project, funded by the Government of Sweden.
The guests of honor of the event were HE Ms. Iwona Piórko, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova and Honorary President of the EBA, as well as Mr. Igor Grosu, President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
Ms. Iwona Piórko appreciated the remarkable activity of the association, highlighting in particular the letters of intent signed during the EU–Moldova Investment Conference on June 4. At the same time, Her Excellency encouraged the EBA’s continued involvement in supporting investors and promoting the Republic of Moldova as an attractive investment destination. He also noted the active contribution of the association in the public policy and advocacy process, an important support for public authorities in advancing the European integration process.
Mr. Igor Grosu emphasized the essential role of the business environment in the development of the economy of the Republic of Moldova, highlighting the need to simplify the legislative framework and create a predictable and competitive investment climate.
Ms. Mariana Rufa, CEO of EBA Moldova, spoke about the role of EBA in implementing the Reform Agenda and presented a series of initiatives and activities planned for the coming period. The association's involvement in promoting social and cultural projects was also highlighted. During the event, a vernissage with works by painters from the Republic of Moldova was also organized, through which EBA promotes culture, creativity and local talent.
