On December 5, 2017, EBA Moldova organized the General Assembly with its members, followed by a reception at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, to celebrate EBA 6-year Anniversary.
The General Assembly was opened by Thomas Moser, EBA President, that reiterated the successful year EBA has had and the progress the association has made in all areas of activity. Mariana Rufa, EBA Executive Director, delivered a presentation focused on the Activity Review of Q3-Q4/2017 and the 2018 Action Plan, highlighting the key performance indicators, new EBA members, policy dialogue issues, new EBA Membership Concept, as well as other EBA activities in the local and international business environment. Also, the highlight on the Agenda was the re-election of Thomas Moser as EBA President. Vasile Plamadeala, representative of the EU Delegation at the General Assembly, mentioned the importance of EBA for strengthening the Moldovan business environment and the contribution to the improvement of Moldova’s capacity building, business support and the encouragement of business conduct based on European values and practices.
EBA 6-year Anniversary reception followed the General Assembly, celebrated at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History. EBA was honored by the presence of H.E. Mr. Peter Michalko, Honorary President of the EBA and Head of the EU Delegation in the Republic of Moldova and Iulia Costin, State General Secretary. Among the guests of the reception were also other representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, diplomatic corps, representatives of public authorities as well as various international cooperation partners and donors.
