Adjusting the regulatory framework for e-KYC, as well as other priorities related to AML, Compliance, practical implementation of open banking principles - some of the topics discussed at the meeting of the EBA's Committee on Financial and Capital Markets

The EBA community from the financial-banking sectors met on September 25, 2024, on the platform of the EBA Committee on Financial and Capital Markets to discuss the prospects for the implementation of the digital customer identification process through electronic means. The discussions focused on key topics such as AML and e-KYC and other compliance topics.

The meeting identified the main legislative gaps and training needs for industry specialists, laying the ground for future discussions to implement international solutions.
