The meeting gathered the European Business Association Moldova, AmCham and FIA Business Community to focus on priority issues faced by businesses.
Business community highly appreciates the effort of the Government to manage the current energy crisis. However the following topics have been approached in order to be considered and addressed as a matter of urgency:
- Current electricity tariff increase compensation system
- Need of a calendar/plan of the situation in the energy sector with forecasts of electricity prices and tariffs
- Increasing the quota for the electricity capacity auctions
- Urge to invest in balancing infrastructure which will also input the energy security
- Ensure review of VAT regime in the context of the VAT Directive implementation
- Ensure a sustainable foreign trade regime for the export of fresh fruit from the RM onto the EU Market, especially after July 2025
- Digitalization of public services by considering investing into Public Services platforms which continue to block the operation of the services.
