"Back to Business" Winter School - inspirational speakers, trending topics, future partnerships

                       

Around 80 young Moldovan entrepreneurs took part in the 7th edition of the Winter School for Young Entrepreneurs "Back to Business", organized by the European Business Association (EBA Moldova), Youth EBA and Global Entrepreneurship Network – GEN Moldova on February 22-25, 2016.

During the four days of the school, entrepreneurs with experience of up to five years in different areas of business took part in an interactive program developed to share practical knowledge that would help them increase their entrepreneurial skills and develop the businesses they own. During the thematic sessions they learned about:

1. Creative management and online management tools (E-Gov)

2. Negotiation and sales techniques, human resources management, motivation and growth of the staff

 3. External assistance programs for improving the business competitiveness

 4. Management of projects and crisis situations.

 "The project is oriented towards young entrepreneurs and we aim to invite the best speakers from Moldova and abroad. We intend to offer the necessary tools for the development and growth of the business to the entrepreneurs, people they can address when in need, connections and sharing of experience, that will answer the their questions" underlined Mariana Rufa, executive-director of the European Business Association – EBA Moldova.

The honorable speakers at the 2016 edition of the Winter School were Michelle Iliev E-government Center, Dan Nuțiu, DAVRO, Svetlana Bodaci, Moldcell, Olesea Fortuna, GEN Moldova, Olesea Ghedrovici, EBA Moldova, Olesea Gadârcă, Law Office Olesea Gadârcă, Jose Luis Gomez Pascual, President of RED Union Fenosa, Olga Melniciuc, President of AFAM (Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Moldova), Member of the team of consultants of the Secretariat of Economic Council of the Prime Minister of Moldova.

According to the organizers, 153 people filled out the online form to participate at the School courses. "It is an important indicator that shows us the importance of this project for entrepreneurs at the start of their career. We are pleased to know that we are contributing to the development of the skills of young entrepreneurs who had the courage to launch their businesses", mentioned Alexandrina Robu, director of YEBA.

Olesea Fortuna, president of GEN Moldova claimed that the agenda of courses was broad enough and addressed the majority of entrepreneurship levels. "Any young person who launched or thinks on developing his/her business will get a start guide to business development. We noticed that by the end of the courses the entrepreneurs developed connections with fellow entrepreneurs of similar business fields" she mentioned.

Also, this year's edition of the Winter School "Back to Business" had a social connotation. "Each participant made a voluntary financial contribution. The partners of this project will contribute to the money raised, and with the amount gathered will be purchased in March equipment which we will donate to the pupils of the trade school nr.2 in Cahul", informed Adrian Baluțel,  Secretary general of YEBA.

The participants, namely the entrepreneurs who accepted to become students for four days, stated that the speakers met their expectations, managing to present the information in an exhaustive, accessible and interactive way.

“This Winter School is a great opportunity to interract with the speacialists willing to answer the questions. We managed to establish partnerships and clarify certain aspects of business development. “,mentioned Angela Sobol, entrepreneur in the foodsector.

"These four days were extremely informative, spent beautifully in a team of professionals and interesting young people, from whom I learned a lot. I am grateful for the possibility to meet specialists that have the necessary information and were willing to share their experience with us", said Elena Uzun, entrepreneur in the Lifestyle branch of business.

Winter School is a project launched by the European Business Association of Moldova and the European Association of Young Entrepreneurs targeting young entrepreneurs.
