EBA Moldova Community in open dialogue with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Vasile Tofan.
On September 7, members of the European Business Association (EBA) had the opportunity to discuss directly with the Prime Minister about the public policy priorities essential for economic development and supporting the business environment in the Republic of Moldova.
The dialogue focused on concrete solutions and urgent measures, addressing the following strategic themes:
- Fiscal policy – ensuring a fair and stimulating fiscal framework for companies;
- Deregulation and debureaucratization – strengthening the partnership between the EBA and the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova to simplify business processes;
- Green transition and EU standards – the need for urgent adjustment of the CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) framework;
- Legislative predictability – the importance of a stable and predictable framework in the process of alignment with European legislation;
- Cybersecurity – implementing a clear and effective mechanism for protecting the digital infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova;
- Investor protection – eliminating excessive controls and unjustified economic criminal cases, to guarantee business safety;
- EU Growth Plan – presenting the investment framework, maximizing opportunities and effectively communicating its benefits;
- State aid and local production – attracting a grant component from the Growth Plan for state aid schemes, in order to stimulate domestic production and added value in the Republic of Moldova.
EBA remains a central pillar in facilitating public-private dialogue, promoting reforms that transform the Republic of Moldova into an attractive and safe destination for investments!
