On 28th of February 2018, EBA Moldova organized a Business Breakfast with Mr. Chiril Gaburici, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova.
The purpose of the event was to ensure an open and active dialogue between EBA members and Mr. Chiril Gaburici, regarding the issues and challenges of the business environment.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure reiterated the priorities for this year, in areas such as: Road Infrastructure and Railway Sector; Energy Security; IT Industry; Domestic Trade; Government Enterprises and Regulatory Reforms.
Representatives of EBA members asked specific questions regarding the problems encountered by their companies. Issues regarding the import of goods, quota management at meat imports, IT and telecommunications, development of education in IT and automotive, were discussed during the dialogue.
Mariana Rufa, EBA Executive Director pointed out also the importance and urgencies in other domains, such as: The Domestic Trade Law related to foreign trade and the need of aligning it to the international one; the issues encountered by the producers of nuts and seeds, and agreed with the Minister Gaburici that individual meetings with sector representative should be organized in the nearest future focused on specific industries.
