Constructive dialogue between EBA and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova on priority topics for the business environment.

The European Business Association organized a discussion of the HR community with Ms. Natalia Plugaru, Minister of Labor and Social Protection, as well as with Mr. Mihai-Gabriel Ciobanu, Secretary of State of the MMPS. The event was moderated by Mariana Rufa, CEO of EBA, offering the business community the opportunity to discuss directly with the authorities on key topics of impact for the association's members.

The discussions focused on a number of priority topics for the business environment, including:
- amending the procedure for attracting additional work and the agreement of employees
- annual notification regarding the salary level of male and female employees
- reviewing the mechanism for determining intoxication at work
- the need to truly capitalize on the EBA proposals submitted to the MMPS
- maintaining a balance in the process of transposing EU legislation

The common objective remains to avoid overregulation and ensure a functional framework for employers and employees.

We thank the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection for its openness, promptness and willingness to maintain an applied dialogue with the business environment.

We particularly appreciate the involvement and support provided by Mr. Eduard Gurin, Chair of the EBA HR Committee, Partner at Vernon David Law Firm, as well as Sandra Dolghii, EBA Policy & Advocacy Manager, for their support and efficient coordination of the legislative consultation process with members.

We also appreciate the active involvement of EBA members and their valuable contribution to strengthening the Association’s positions.
