Business supports Moldova's integration into the EU
Edineț – Dialogue with business on the results and achievements of economic reforms with an impact on business, actively discussed with economic agents in the Edineț district.
Together with Doina Nistor, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalisation of the Republic of Moldova, Alina Cebotariov, Deputy Director, Entrepreneurship Development Organisation, Mariana Rufa, Executive Director of the European Business Association Moldova, and Svetlana Melnic, Executive Director of AFAD, we presented the concrete results of reforms aimed at developing business and boosting economic growth, such as:
- state aid,
- ODA programmes,
- new opportunities for farmers, such as the new framework for exporting horticultural products to the EU (increased export quotas to the EU market),
- expansion of CAEM activities and additional facilities for farmers,
- the new framework for independent entrepreneurial activity (freelancing), etc.
Following the presentations, the economic agents asked a series of questions, thus ensuring an interactive discussion with the officials. Following the dialogue with the economic agents, a series of visits were made to some of them, who operate in the Edineț industrial park - one of the most successful industrial platforms in the Republic of Moldova.
We reiterate that the EBA is actively engaged in concrete actions within the Moldova-EU Integration Agenda, involving the best local and international expertise to ensure quality support and involvement in the policy-making process, legislative transposition, as well as practical support in implementing the legal framework, sharing best practices in the business community and supporting public authorities in this process.
The Event was organized with the financial support of 3F International (Confederation of Danish Labour).
