The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova in dialogue with the business environment regarding the Fiscal and Customs Policy 2024.
EBA Moldova, represented by Sandra Dolghii, Fiscal and Customs Policy Manager, reiterated the following proposals:
- Implementation of the REP by exempting the tax for goods that in the process of use cause environmental pollution and introducing the economic mechanism for the application of the REP;
- Increasing the amount when deducting expenses for food and transport;
- Granting exemptions or reducing the VAT rate for photovoltaic panels and inverters with the elimination of customs duty for inverters paid on import, especially for large investment projects;
- Reduction of the VAT rate for natural bee honey;
- Problems with the correct taxation of non-residents;
- Modification of the fiscal control procedure.
