On February 13 and 20, 2026, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova organized working meetings dedicated to the alignment of the national regulatory framework with the legislation of the European Union, in the context of the accession process of the Republic of Moldova.
- Posting of workers – Directive 96/71/EC and 2014/67/EU (IMI)
Consultations were initiated on the transposition of European rules on posting of workers and administrative cooperation through the IMI System. Discussions focused on the practical application of the new provisions and on clarifying the responsibilities of the institutions involved, including collaboration with CNAS (social insurance regime and budgetary impact) and IGM (effective supervision mechanisms).
- Adequate Minimum Wages – Directive (EU) 2022/2041
During the meeting chaired by Mr. Mihai Gabriel Ciobanu, Secretary of State, the provisions of the draft law on adequate minimum wages were analyzed, including:
- promotion of collective bargaining
- measures applicable in case of coverage below 80%
- impact on the business environment
EU acts are to be transposed according to the National Accession Plan in 2026, and the implementation will be carried out in stages, once the Republic of Moldova joins the EU.
