EBA Dialogue with DG Trade, EU Commission.
On October 4th the business community met with HE Mr Janis Mazeiks EU Ambassador in the RM, Mr Marco Dueercop, Head of Unit DG Trade, Mr. Nicholas Burge, Desk officer responsible for Moldova DG Trade, Mr. Vasile Plamadeala Trade Officer, EU Delegation in the RM.
The discussion focussed on the practical implementation of the Association Agreement and DCFTA. The business community strongly supported the Government actions on the EU integration agenda, however mentioning a number of trade related issues which need short and medium term resolution.
The businesses reiterated the need to urge the finalisation of Justice sector reform, Energy and renewables legislation, Customs Code and Free Economic Zones legal provisions, possibility to export animal products onto the EU market etc
