Chisinau, November 7 — Mr. Eugen Osmochescu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, met with members of the European Business Association (EBA Moldova) in Moldova, during which they discussed the priorities of the government team and the Ministry in the context of the European integration process and support for the business environment.
The agenda included topics of utmost interest to the business community, such as:
• improving state aid schemes;
• continuing efforts to deregulate and simplify the regulatory framework;
• diversifying ODA programs;
• promoting e-commerce and the digitization of economic processes;
• efficient land management and issues related to land use.
During the dialogue, Ms. Carolina Bugaian, President of EBA Moldova and CEO of Moldcell, emphasized that EBA had summarized the business community’s main priorities in the EBA Competitiveness Briefing document, which was presented to the government team during the meeting.
Ms. Bugaian also noted that the EBA will continue to develop additional documents addressing the specific topics discussed, as well as to initiate legislative packages aimed at deregulation, streamlining administrative processes, and improving public services for the business community.
The meeting provided a constructive framework for the exchange of views and experiences, during which EBA member companies expressed their willingness to share best practices and contribute to the development of a competitive and predictable economic environment in the Republic of Moldova.
