The EBA launched the series of sessions dedicated to the process of harmonizing the legislation of the Republic of Moldova with the acquis of the European Union, through a first discussion with members, dedicated to the free movement of industrial goods and related consumer protection issues.

We thank Cristina Ceban, responsible for quality infrastructure and economic cooperation within the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova, for the extensive presentation and open dialogue on recent developments and perspectives in the field.

The session addressed:
- the state of harmonization of legislation on the free movement of industrial goods
- planned measures and implementation schedule
- implications for companies that produce, import or trade industrial goods
- aspects related to quality infrastructure, market surveillance and consumer protection
- opportunities and challenges for the business environment in the Republic of Moldova

This session marks the beginning of a series through which we aim to bring the main legislative and institutional developments in the European path of the Republic of Moldova closer to business.
