On April 19, the EBA organized a technical meeting with the Minister of Economy, Mr. Sergiu Gaibu, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy, Mr. Vadim Gumene and members of EBA Moldova.
The meeting was held in the context of the repeated endorsement of the final draft of the Government's decision on the approval of the draft law on unfair commercial practices.
During the meeting I expressed some concerns related to:
- applicability in the context of the objective pursued by Directive (EU) 2019/633
- analytical accounting
- ensuring the balance of producer-seller
- supplier-seller relations
- unfair competitive practices
We thank Minister Gaibu and his team for their openness and analytical discussions.
We rely on the constructive approach at the end of the project, EBA reiterating the cooperation and support of the business environment in clarifying the practical aspects of the proposals submitted.
