On April 15, EBA organized the meeting of EBA members with the Minister of Finance, Mr. Dumitru Budianschi.
The topics of discussion were focused on discussing fiscal shortcomings in the current context, as well as on the proposals received so far with a major impact on several industries.
Topics planned for discussion include:
- Introducing the principle of non-taxation of meal vouchers as a measure to support employees in raising food prices in the context of the current crisis,
- Exemption from VAT on the import of renewable energy production equipment / installations The need to bear additional costs for financing the payment of VAT on the import of renewable energy production equipment / installations
- Reduction or even exemption during the state of emergency of customs duties, environmental taxes, other taxes on socially important foodstuffs, as well as raw materials, ingredients, etc. - used in the production process,
- Granting 2-3 months of tax holidays to economic agents whose main business activities were related to AU and FR, with a share of turnover dependent on commercial contracts,
- Introduction of VAT taxation on the import of cars with the elimination of excise duties that are currently applied.
