EBA participated in the Investors' Conference dedicated to onshore wind energy projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS)

Investor Conference dedicated to onshore wind energy projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS), dedicated to the tender launched on December 19, 2025, aimed at developing onshore wind power plants with a supported capacity of up to 170 MW, correlated with the obligation to install, under free market conditions, a minimum electricity storage capacity of 0.25 MWh (BESS) for each MW of supported wind capacity.

The event focused on:
- the tender procedure and eligibility requirements for onshore wind and BESS projects;
- the "fixed price/variable premium" support mechanism;
- the stages and deadlines for submitting technical and financial bids;
- investors' responsibilities regarding the construction, operation, and maintenance of wind farms and electricity storage systems.

Developing energy storage capacities is the optimal solution for the Republic of Moldova in terms of strengthening energy security and increasing the resilience of the energy system.

EBA Moldova was represented by its community of members in the energy sector.
