EBA Moldova Participates in Discussions on the Regulation of Work on Digital Platforms

On July 1, 2026, EBA Moldova participated in a meeting of Working Group No. 4 of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, dedicated to the topic of work on digital platforms.

The discussions focused on the draft transposition of Directive (EU) 2024/2831 on improving working conditions through digital platforms, including aspects related to the regulation of couriers and other service providers operating through digital platforms.

Among the topics discussed were the content of the main proposed amendments, the stages of the draft’s implementation, the importance of conducting a detailed consultation on the draft—including from the perspective of assessing its potential impact on the business environment—as well as the need to carry out an adequate financial analysis before the new regulations take effect.

Participants also emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional capacities to ensure the effective implementation of the future regulatory framework.

EBA supports the development of a modern, predictable, and balanced legal framework that provides adequate protection for individuals conducting business through digital platforms, without undermining the flexibility, innovation, and growth potential of the digital economy.

The EBA was represented by Sandra Dolghii, Policy & Advocacy Manager.
