The accession of the Republic of Moldova to the Convention on a Common Transit Procedure and the Convention on the Simplification of Trade in Goods marks a new stage in facilitating trade between Moldova, the EU, and other countries internationally.
On November 13, the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova hosted an event dedicated to presenting the benefits of these conventions. The event was attended by senior officials from the EU and Moldova.
EBA Moldova was represented by Mariana Rufa, Executive Director, who reiterated the imperative of implementing these conventions in practice and allocating the necessary resources to ensure the administrative and operational capacity for the functioning of these systems in Moldova.
