EBA actively participates in the meetings of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
On September 19, the EBA participated in the meeting organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection jointly with the Business Associations, regarding the reorganization of the State Labor Inspectorate and the modification of the control procedures applied by the ISM.
During the meeting, the EBA intervened with a series of proposals to amend the current regulatory framework related to combating the "Salary in the envelope" phenomenon, including:
Updating the applicable risk criteria in the process of selecting the economic agents subject to control, which will allow checks to be carried out only on economic agents with an increased risk of non-compliance;
Carrying out joint centralized controls with other control bodies, as appropriate, as well as in close terms, in order to avoid situations of major disruption to the activity of the economic agent;
Focusing ISM activity on the dissemination of educational information and voluntary compliance procedures, not on control and sanctioning of the core activity.
