European Business Association participated in the meeting of the Working Group on reducing informal employment and combating the phenomenon of "envelope salaries", held on the platform of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.
During the discussions, it was emphasized that the phenomenon of undeclared work directly affects companies that operate correctly, comply with the legislation and pay taxes and fees in full. Such practices generate unfair competition and create major imbalances in the market, to the detriment of responsible employers.
Representing a community of over 120 member companies, EBA supports the promotion of efficient and proportionate measures to combat abusive practices, protect employees and contribute to the consolidation of a fair and predictable business environment.
We will continue to support, through the expertise of EBA members, solutions that encourage compliance, transparency and fair competition.
