The European Business Association (EBA Moldova) participated at the public consultation meeting on the draft law on concerted action in the insurance sector.
During the discussions, the EBA presented the position of the business community, emphasizing the need to respect the principles of proportionality, predictability, and correct alignment with the EU acquis. We reiterated the importance of avoiding overregulation and introducing requirements that are more restrictive than those provided for in the European framework.
We remain open to constructive dialogue with the authorities and to continuing technical consultations with a view to ensuring a balanced regulatory framework that supports market stability and the investment attractiveness of the insurance sector in the Republic of Moldova.
