EBA Moldova participates in the National Forum on the Labour Market and Social Dialogue

EBA Moldova, represented by Mariana Rufa, participates in the National Forum on the Labour Market and Social Dialogue

The event brought together high-level officials, representatives of relevant public authorities, business associations, and civil society organizations to share their priorities regarding the labour market, employment relations, and labour legislation.

The forum was opened by Mr. Alexei Buzu, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research, and Ms. Doina Nistor, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalisation. They focused on the current government’s achievements in the fields of education, labour legislation, and the support offered to the business sector.

Mariana Rufa highlighted the challenges faced by the business environment related to the primary, secondary, and tertiary education system, as well as key legislative proposals concerning labour law. She also presented concrete examples from the legislative package developed by EBA experts in collaboration with the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the OPTIM Project implemented by Helvetas.

The event was organised by the Independent Atlantic Centre “Expert-Grup” and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the Soros Foundation Moldova, within the framework of the “Support for Labour Market Reform” project, implemented by Expert-Grup with financial support from the Soros Foundation Moldova.
