On 19th of March, EBA Moldova participated at the Prime minister Economic Council technical meeting aimed to present and discuss the proposed solutions related to the remote identification of customers (eKYC) for the purpose of opening a bank account, as well as draft Decision amending the National Bank of Moldova Regulation no. 200/2018 on requirements on preventing and combating money laundering and terrorist financing in the banking activity.
The issues related to the remote customers identification was discussed by EBA Members within various technical meetings organized by EBA Moldova in 2020 and 2021.
