On October 7th EBA participated in a discussion organized by the EU Delegation in Azerbaijan, within the East Invest project implemented by Euro Chambers and European Commission.
Mariana Rufa, executive director of EBA, presented the EBA Moldova structure, its activity framework and the support provided to its members. She has also presented the lobby and advocacy initiatives which are underpinning the European investors in Moldova, as well as Moldovan companies willing to export onto the EU Market. She has described the DCFTA advantages and the EU Market opportunities in this regard, but also the gaps that the Moldovan Government still needs to address, in order to make the country attractive for investments.
European companies operating in Azerbaijan mentioned about the lack of any well-functioning private public platforms in Azerbaijan, as well as about other corporate governance issues they are facing and expressed a need of having a similar organization that would represent their issues.
