From December 10–12, EBA Moldova is conducting a visit to Brussels. The delegation is composed of leadership from EBA member companies.
The purpose of this visit is to highlight the progress Moldova has made toward EU accession, as well as to discuss the challenges and solutions in this regard.
Thus, the first day of the visit included meetings with:
- Siegfried Muresan, Member of the European Parliament, Co-chair of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee
- Raluca PRUNA, Head of the Financial Crime Unit (FISMA D2)
- Tilman LUEDER, Head of the Insurance and Pensions Unit (FISMA D4)

The meetings covered topics related to the implementation of the Growth Plan and private sector involvement in this regard, the predictability and transparency of EU fund absorption, maintaining energy independence, progress on capital market development, as well as private pension funds.

On the second day of the visit to Brussels, the European Business Association Moldova delegation held meetings with the following officials:

The meetings provided a unique opportunity to present EBA Moldova’s contribution through local and international expertise in advancing the accession process, implementing the Reform Agenda, and supporting legislative harmonization.
Certain challenges related to the implementation of the legal framework were also identified, and the solutions examined by the business community in this regard were reiterated. All officials emphasized the imperative of coordinating efforts regarding the negotiation phase, which is set to begin shortly.
