EBA Participates in Public Consultations on New Amendments to Labor Legislation

European Business Association Moldova (EBA) participated in the preliminary consultations organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, aimed at reviewing the draft law to amend certain legislative acts, including the Labor Code, the Code of Administrative Offenses, and the Law on the State Labor Inspectorate.

The following amendments were discussed during the consultations:
- regulations on part-time work and the classification of overtime;
- the powers and remedial mechanisms applied by the State Labor Inspectorate;
- procedures for informing and consulting with employee representatives;
- regulations on collective layoffs and the transfer of enterprises.

EBA was represented by Sandra Dolghii, Policy & Advocacy Manager, and Vitalie Burunciuc, Head of the Legal Department at Premier Energy.

EBA reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to the public policy-making process and supports the harmonization of national legislation with European Union standards, promoting a balanced, predictable legal framework conducive to the development of a competitive business environment.
