On the occasion of the official visit to the RM of the Delegation of Members of International Trade Committee (INTA) of the European Parliament,
led by Mr. Bernd Lange, Chair of INTA, EBA organized a round table discussion on: EU Moldova Candidacy – Catalyser for sustainable growth, EU-Moldova trade challenges and opportunities.
The subjects addressed referred to the imperative of urgent reforms in:
- Justice and rule of law;
- Digitization and e-commerce;
- Development of the renewable energy sector and energy security;
- Consolidation of the integrated waste management system and the implementation of the economic mechanism of extended producer responsibility (REP);
- The need for investments and support provided by development partners in consolidating ANSA resources as well as the livestock sector in order to diversify exports;
- International commerce.
The event was followed up by a Reception hosted by the EBA Members.
