EBA participated at the Evaluation of the Trade Policy of the Republic of Moldova by the World Trade Organization / World Trade Organization Secretariat - Moldova Trade Policy Review.
Discussion agenda:
- The need to undertake reforms in line with international trade practices;
- Investment policy framework (investment opportunities, requirements for service providers).
We emphasized the needs of the business environment by ensuring predictability, the application of legal provisions, the deficiencies of the justice sector, transition periods necessary to connect the EU legal framework, the facilitation of customs procedures, the need for infrastructure development, and of course the issues related to Free Economic Zones.
EBA was represented by Eugen Cozmulici, Policy and Advocacy Manager.
