On October 28, EBA, represented by Mariana Rufa, EBA CEO, moderated the meeting of Working Group 2 on the Economic Council Platform under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, dedicated to the topic of customs valuation and harmonization of the legal framework in line with the EU Customs Code.
The leadership of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, together with the team responsible for this topic: Mr. Iacub Alexandru, Director of the Customs Service, Ms. Lidia Ababii, Deputy Director of the Customs Service, and Natalia Ciumacenco, Head of the Customs Valuation Department, presented a series of changes related to the simplification of the procedure in the context of legislative alignment, and several examples were given in this regard.
The EBA greatly appreciates the efforts of the Moldovan Customs Service in simplifying the legal framework, thereby catalysing foreign trade between Moldova and the EU.
