EBA Moldova continues the series of events from theory to practice by offering a practical workshop dedicated to EBA Moldova members, on personal data protection (GDPR), intended for the business environment to present and discuss the changes to the national legislative framework, the summary of the new legal provisions, including the fines liable for non-compliance and sharing existing practices in this regard.
The event was a good opportunity to initiate dialog and sensitize the business environment of the challenges and needs that are required until the Law comes into force in August 2026.
Law No. 195 of 27.07.2024 on the protection of personal data, promoted with the joint effort and contribution of the EBA Community, pioneering the process starting in 2018, and with entry into force from 23.08.2026, transposes Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
