A new Decision of the Government aiming to facilitate trade between Moldova and the EU has been recently passed. The GD 710/2015 amends the Regulation on state certification and type-approval of phytosanitary products and fertilizers used in agriculture and forestry, by simplifying the procedure of recognition and type-approval applied in relation to phytosanitary products and fertilizers already certified in one of the EU Member States or marked as „EC fertilizer”. This measure shall impede the increase of prices for fertilizers and implicitly of the final price for agri-food products.
EBA Moldova engaged actively in promoting the draft decision through various advocacy measures.
