On 24 May 2016, EBA, AmCham and FIA organized for their members a business breakfast with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Pavel Filip. The goal of the event consisted in bringing together the representatives of the business community and of the Government, to engage in an open dialogue over the reforms agenda planed by the Government and to share the main concerns and constraints faced by entrepreneurs in Moldova at this stage.
The Prime Minister stated the Government is aware of the challenges impeding the business development in Moldova and reassured that it is committed to speed up the necessary reforms, particularly in the area of permissive acts, state inspections and control institutions, so as to reduce the burden over business. The representatives of the business community on their behalf, stressed the need to focus on concrete measures to implement the overdue reforms, especially in the banking and justice sector, and to ensure a better enforcement of the current and new regulatory framework.
