On March 10 the EBA organized the meeting of the Energy Committee.
The main subject of the discussion was the Draft Law on renewables. The Draft Law is currently in the Parliament and had passed the first reading. The EBA Members have presented their views on certain issues related to the concept of the law as well as certain technical matters and provisions that need to be provided in the law for the different sources of renewables such as wind, solar and biomass.
The key issues discussed were related to capacity limitation, net metering, certification requirements for the providers of solar equipment specifically and transparency of the tendering process.
