On February 24, 2026, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova organized a working meeting dedicated to initiating amendments to the Labor Code and related legislation, as part of the process of aligning with the European Union acquis.
The meeting, convened by State Secretary Mihai-Gabriel Ciobanu, brought together representatives of public authorities, social partners, and the business community.
The draft aims to transpose EU directives in the areas of:
- occupational safety and health;
- employee protection;
- equal treatment and non-discrimination;
- informing and consulting workers.
