On February 24, 2026, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova organized a working meeting dedicated to initiating the amendment of the Labor Code and related normative acts, in the context of alignment with the European Union acquis.
The meeting, convened by the Secretary of State Mihai-Gabriel Ciobanu, brought together representatives of public authorities, social partners and the business environment.
The project aims to transpose EU directives in the field of:
- occupational safety and health
- employee protection
- equal treatment and non-discrimination
- information and consultation of workers
