The new Law on the activity of freelancers, discussed with EBA members and the business community

The European Business Association in collaboration with the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova organized an information session dedicated to the new Law on the activity of freelancers — a current and important topic for individuals conducting independent economic activities, accountants, consultants and business associations.

The session discussed the main differences of the new tax regime, as well as the technical shortcomings of the registration platform as individuals conducting independent economic activities.

We would like to thank Mr. Ion Lupan, Head of the Secretariat of the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova for his active involvement and open collaboration, as well as the experts of SAIPH Consulting House, Ms. Tatiana Stavinschi and Mr. Nicolae Crețu, for the expertise provided and the support provided both in the process of developing the regulatory framework and in explaining the practical aspects of implementing the new Law on the activity of freelancers.

The event was organized by the European Business Association Moldova in partnership with the Economic Council under the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova with the support of the Government of Switzerland (Swiss Cooperation in Moldova) through the OPTIM Project, implemented by Helvetas Moldova, in the context of joint efforts to promote simplification and deregulation reforms for the benefit of the business environment.

EBA will continue to support public-private dialogue and contribute to clarifying the practical aspects of implementing the new regulations, so that they are applied in a predictable, efficient and accessible manner for all stakeholders.
