On March 30, EBA Moldova participated at the Prime Minister Economic Council meeting presided by Prime Minister of Republic of Moldova aimed at presenting the results achieved so far and the priorities for 2018.
Mariana Rufa, EBA Moldova Executive Director, who presides the Trade Facilitation Agreement within the Economic Council, focused on such issues as:
- harmonizing Moldovan legislation related to pollution taxes and relevant reporting;
- difficulties in export of certain agriculture products on EU market;
- the need of upgrading the tertiary education and ensuring a stronger match with the demands generated by business community, this being identified as one of the highest priorities by the international and local investors
The issues have been considered for further processors within the Economic Council.
Additional follow up in the former Position Paper and technical meeting will be provided by EBA Moldova to solve the above mentioned problems.
